Hi Rob,

Yes, his instructions do work. In fact, the four speed is, IMHO, easier
to shim because you have one less gear to fiddle with. John Ulrich and I
shimmed my transmission and I documented some of the four speed
specifics on my website. In my opinion, shim it.

Ok, so my trans has been sitting under the bench while I do an engine
rebuild. Lately it has started to stare me down, like it wants some
attention.

I've read Guzziology (leave the tranny alone), and I've read Pete Roper
(everyone should shim their gearbox). I realize Pete was talking about
a 5 speed, not a 4 speed. I'm sure some of you have experience with
this, do Pete Ropers 5 speed instructions work for the 4 speed?

Thanks,
Rob
