I'm redoing a '73 civilian Eldo. It was a basket case a year ago. Paint is a
pearlescent white, chrome on the dash, valve covers, generator belt cover.
Rechromed the handlebars, fender braces, fork covers and ears, and various parts
of the linkage. Motor needed cylinders and pistons. Tranny needed updated
shift spring. Rear end needed a case and pinion gear. I was given a solo seat
which I powdercoated the pan. The foam and cover were in good shape. I thought it
was a police style seat but it turns out not to be. The front forks were bent
but I was able to straighten them. I'm waiting now for the cylinders and heads
to return from beadblasting and then do final assembly of the motor. Motor
and tranny is in the frame which is powdercoated satin black. I still have a
ways to go -- gotta put in wiring, headlight with trim, switches for handle bars,
cables, disassemble and polish wheel rims, hubs, rear drive cover, brake
covers, etc. It might be done this summer sometime.

It's been fun and full of surprises which, I suppose, is always true with
basket cases.
