My project is a 74 eldo purchased from a guy up by Topeka, KS. The bike went through a flood in '92 and he never even drained the fluids out of it. Needless to say, the pistons were stuck in the bores. I have taken the thing apart, had LA sleeves installed, fitted with 88mm VW pistons, then came the divorce. What I want is a nice (not show quality) eldo with lots of go. I bought a pair of 40mm Delortos on ebay for it, but when I got them I noticed they have the adjusting screws on the same side. I guess built for an in-line twin. The bosses (actually holes) are there on both sides, so maybe a machine shop could fix that problem. I think maybe a high performance cam would be a nice addition also. This is my first time inside an engine, so needless to say I'm quite intimidated by the whole thing. I guess take it slow and keep reading you guzzi genius's posts.
