Those do have a certain charm to them. Much better than the later dual
gauge black boxes. I am still in love with the simplicity of the early
V7's dash like mine.

I was at Moto International, in Seattle, about a year and a half ago and
someone had one in there similar to mine, but the dash and the valve
covers were chromed. It didn't look quite right. No offense if any of
you own that one or if you have chromed aluminium. It's just a personal
preference. Polishing the dash and side covers is a pain but I just love
that aluminium dash.
