Pardon the lack of Moto Guzzi content but this is something I really need help on. I have a Bingham sidecar mounted on a Yamaha XS750. Big fun. I am now painting and fixing this to be a "looker". I just got a used Yamaha 16" wheel for the sidecar, which it matches the wheels on the bike. Problem is finding a low profile tire to mount on this wheel so as not to raise the car higher than the former wheel/tire which is 20.5" OD. Does anyone on the list know of a source for a low aspect ratio 16" tire? My local bike shops and tire stores are stumped. I figure that there must be somewhere out there a 16" tire of small cross section and low aspect ratio design. I think Velorex uses a Mitas tire on their sidecars, but I have had no luck in locating the US distributor for Mitas. Velorex uses a narrow (2.5" wide ) rim and my wheel is 3" wide which should be no big problem.

I know there is a lot of specialized knowledge out there on this list and I need to tap it. Any help is appreciated.

Guzzi content: the Eldo runs like a champ. I will be using it for my work at the "First Annual Euro Bike Rally" in Pueblo, June 17, 18, and 19. Check it out at:

and come on on over to help represent the Moto Guzzi contingent at the event.
