It's great to read about all the loops coming out of the cold especially
from the guys I have met like Joel and Keith, Charlie M. and Cam.
My bike ate its throttle cables over spring break so I am waiting for a
nice package from MG Cycle. My Greg Field alternator conversion is on
and looks good but the gen light does not come on with the ignition.
Somehow I don't think the flaw is in the 2004 Nippon Denso product but
more likely in my Bowl o' Pasta wiring. I'll get to that tomorrow. As a
vote of confidence I bought a set of 55 watt driving lights to help find
campsites after dinner. When things are rumbling again I will report on
the racy RAM clutch and the reshimmed 5-speed that Charley Cole worked
on.
I actually have two Genuine Yamaha replacement coils on my bike. A fix
suggested by a fellow on the MGCL. Here is where I got them:
