Thanks. I will take a closer look tomorrow and make sure it is not bare,
or maybe bare. It looked shaded but I never though to check if it was
aluminum or chrome. Hate to shove the dough out for a new set right now,
but if I have to, I have to. I really want her up and running by
September, and have almost everything I think. The left head is sticking
right now so I will have to slowly play with it and hope for the best.
After that, the only fly in the ointment will be if the trans works
fine. I will need to order a set of seals and gaskets for the bike, from
responses here it's best to just do it while everything is off. So by
Monday morning I should have a nice list of orderables depending on the
condition of this cylinder.
Also, is there any issue at all with warped heads, and if so is there a
spec where I can check it to?
