Replacement ignition switch

Replacement ignition switch to fit all 1967 - 1976 Moto Guzzi V700, V7 Special, Ambassador, 850 GT, 850 GT California, Eldorado, and 850 California Police motorcycles. The design is very similar to the original ignition switch. In fact, a top-nut from an original loopframe ignition switch will fit the threads on this switch perfectly! Fits in the original location within the original dash or police bracket. Supports the wiring needs for both civilian and police models. Accepts female spade terminals. I will fit the required terminals to any harness you purchase from me.

Switch has four positions

• Position 1 (Key rotated fully counterclockwise)
  • RUN position
  • Second best position for running
• Position 2 (Key rotated 1 position clockwise from fully counterclockwise)
  • OFF position
• Position 3 (Key rotated 2 positions clockwise from fully counterclockwise)
  • RUN position
  • Best position for running
• Position 4 (Key rotated fully clockwise to the momentary spring-loaded position)
  • START position
  • Applicable to V700 models only

Terminal connections for civilian models

• Terminal 58/57: Not used
• Terminal 50: Brown wire to starter (V700 models only)
• Terminal 15/54: Red wire to fuse panel. Connect to piggyback terminal.
• Terminal 57: Brown wire to fuse panel. Connect to piggyback terminal.
• Terminal 30: Red wire from battery positive (through connection at regulator)
• Terminal 57 and 15/54: These two terminals are connected to one another with a short red jumper wire, with piggyback terminals at each end.

Terminal connections for police models

• Terminal 58/57: Not used
• Terminal 50: Not used
• Terminal 15/54: Red wire to fuse panel. Connect to piggyback terminal.
• Terminal 57: Brown wire to fuse panel. Connect to piggyback terminal.
• Terminal 30: Fit dual male adapter (included) to terminal 30.
• Terminal 30: Red wire from battery positive (through connection at regulator).
• Terminal 30: Red wire with green marker to fuse panel.
• Terminal 57 and 15/54: These two terminals are connected to one another with a short red jumper wire, with piggyback terminals at each end.
