Hi,
I haven't tried the Split Fires but the other numbers I provided are
direct crosses for the NGK.
I have a friend with a Gold Wing who tried some NGK's and fouled them after
60 miles, changed to the
Champion equal and has not had any problems. I have the Autolites in my
bike now and they are working better
than the NGK's, I had NIPPON's in it before but I couldn't find any here.
If the bike keeps running well with the Autolites
I am goignt o get the title and registration accomplished and go for a nice
long ride. I have but about 12 miles on it with
the new plugs and had no problems running like a top. One other question
different subject, when down shifting the 4 speed
does the tranny feel kind of clunky (feels positive or tight), no grinding
just clunky.

Eric,
I am not a mechanic but I have heard that split fire plugs run hotter and
that a hotter spark is not necessarily a good thing for an old bike. Plus
which, I just read Marks' reply about NGKs as good. I think this is a
good
topic to hear from the experts on as a lot of guys will try to change to a
hotter plug to compensate for bad carburation. Bob Hawkes

IMHO, I just prefer a good ol' NGK or Nippondenso.
Cheers!

I read that they weren't so good. Just more places to foul!!
