Ian and all-
Most of the latches I can get are brass or steeel with either chrome or
nickel plating. Probably would not hold up to the elements real well, but
for a bike that is garaged and rode rain free (like mine, although I get
caught in it once in awhile :) would probably work ok. Like I said, if you
can get me a pic of what ya want, I can see if we can get it. I'm getting
ready to replace the ones on my ugly ass tail trunk. Gonna try to make it
less ugly with a paint job too!
Cheers!

Chris,

Good thought to suggest music type latches. Do you think they would hold up
to the elements?

Tough thing about finding latches is that you don't know what you want till
either someone decides for you or you see the ones that you want :-)

Thanks...Ian

 Greg-
I work at a music store that does instrument (and case) repair. I have
access to all sorts of latches. If you can get me a picture of what ya
want, I may be able to find some for ya. Let me know off list.
