Gary,
Interesting to hear you mention that. When I bought my Ambo I wasn't sure
what I had since the bike was an unfinished resto project. It came with the
Ambo tank on it and I thought that maybe it was put on as an add on. Every
other A series Ambo had the V700 tank. Nice to think that maybe that tank is
original.

It seems I remember the local dealers offering to put the Ambassador
tank on the last of thier V-700s . This was during the overlap when the
Ambos first stated showing up and dealers still had the old V-700 on the
floor. I don't know if it was an official program from the distributor
or something the dealers did on thier own.

anecdotal evidence that it was sometime during the small-tank run.
Any other small-tankers out there with a plate and build date? What
dates?
Thanks!
