I'm helping my dad search for a bike. He has his mind set on an early
'70s honda 4 cylinder that runs but needs work - he'd prefer a 350, but
a 400 through 550 is OK. We just lost a '73 CB350 on ebay the other
day. Some guy snuck in with 5 minutes left and I was taking care of my
son, who's getting teeth and cranky about it, and I couldn't get logged
in to counter-offer in time - oh well, the little guy is definitely
higher on the list than a bike.
Anyway, I've been searching all the usual suspects - ebay,
motorcycleshopper.com, motorcycles.com, and I have an adhound set up on
abracat (searches all newspaper classifieds every day).
Does anyone know of such a bike or any other good sources to look in?
There's no real hurry and the most important criteria is that the bike
be in the midwest - preferrably Iowa but surrounding states are OK too.
I'd appreciate any ideas.
BTW - if he can't find a Honda he'd like to find a loop! I don't think
he's there yet, though.
Thanks,
Brad
