Hi Brad,
If you were just about six months earlier! Sold a
very nice 350 Four at
Mid-Ohio for $600. Parked it at Mike Skaggs' spaces
(thanks Mike!) and sold
it on Sunday for less than I had in it just ot get
rid of it.
Personally if I intentionally went looking to buy a
350/400/500/550 Four,
I'd go for the 550. The 350 was gutless and was
revving almost as high as
my old RD out on the highway and I don't remember my
brother's 400 being
any better. The 400s are probably the most desirable
(bring higher prices)
to collectors as well. I remember the 550 being the
most usable,
well-rounded machine of the lot. Happy hunting!
Charlie.

I'm helping my dad search for a bike. He has his'70s honda 4 cylinder that runs but needs work -he'd prefer a 350, buta 400 through 550 is OK. We just lost a '73 CB350on ebay the otherday. Some guy snuck in with 5 minutes left and Iwas taking care of myson, who's getting teeth and cranky about it, andI couldn't get loggedin to counter-offer in time - oh well, the littleguy is definitelyhigher on the list than a bike.- ebay,
Anyway, I've been searching all the usual suspectsmotorcycleshopper.com, motorcycles.com, and I havean adhound set up onabracat (searches all newspaper classifieds everyday).Does anyone know of such a bike or any other goodsources to look in?There's no real hurry and the most importantcriteria is that the bikebe in the midwest - preferrably Iowa butsurrounding states are OK too.I'd appreciate any ideas.loop! I don't think
BTW - if he can't find a Honda he'd like to find ahe's there yet, though.
Thanks,
Brad
