My wife, Lea, and I just finished pulling the forks off the Eldo and
adding the PVC spacers on top of the new Wirth progressive springs. By
the way it took us about 30 minutes. Not a world record but we were
listening to tunes and drinking beers. Before I could easily collapse
the forks by hand with the bike sitting there in the shop. Now it has
resistance and rebound that feels much more useable. Of course the acid
test will be out on the road but I believe this was a good modification.
Thanks to many of you for the advice. Closer and closer to a running
machine.
