Hi Doni,

Did you check for a spark? Are your plugs fouled?

If the engine is turning over slowly off of your truck battery then =
start your truck. The alternator should give the battery the power it =
needs to easily turn over your bike's engine. Also check the connections =
of the jumpers.

Once you do get the bike running let her warm up well.....these bikes =
(at least mine) don't run all that well until they are warm.=20

Also, when starting cold...I notice that both my bikes will flood really =
easily. What I do is turn on the petcocks.....set the choke lever to 3/4 =
and turn the key (push the start button). If you give any gas only give =
it after the engine turns over a few times. The bike should (if it's set =
up right) fire right up.

Good luck and let us all know how you made out.

Ian

Y'all may remember a while back when i was having trouble keeping my =
recently acquired ambo at idle. A few adjustments of the screw fixed =
that problem. Now, I didn't get time to mess with it much the next week =
or two and I had to jump it started the next time I started it. Got it =
going let it run a bit, rode it around the block and parked it. Then, I =
was laid up a couple weeks, didn't touch the bike. Tried jumping it =
today. The engine turned over normally, but I couldn't get it to catch. =
Tried a couple more times then stopped, made sure there was gas and it =
was flowing to the carbs. I also let my truck run for about twenty =
minutes. Then I tried again (truck not running) and the motor would =
turn, but very, very slowly. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I =
would love to get this thing on the road, or at least running enough so =
I can get it to a mechanic to tune it.
20
Thanks,
Doni
