could be. I doubt it though. I need to get out some string and check the
whole thing over

coincidentally I was looking thru my copy of the MGNOC Tips booklet and
saw something about steering pulling one side or the other

Suggestion was that cause was rear swing arm out of alignment. If not set
up correctly, the rear wheel tries to steer you from the back like a hook
and ladder truck.
There is a way to remove the big nuts in back and make the rear wheel track
correctly.
Not sure if this is your cause but it could be.
Good Luck
Pete

I got the call from the shop last night about my tires. This morning I
dragged my boy into the shop along with the wheels to get them mounted.

by 11 I was back at home and mounting the wheels on the bike. by noon I
was
chasing the dog around the yard on my '71 moto guzzi Ambassador.

The whitewalls really put the cherry on top of that dessert.

I rode off to work.

What went wrong:

The speedo lunched itself in the firt mile. A quick whine and then the
needle snapped. oops. looks like I get to send it to Palo Alto speedo
someday.

I seem to have done something wrong when I replaced the seal in the gas
cap.
I now have some nasty gas stains on my fresh painted tank. ANyone got
one
 of
those leather bibs for a gast tank? I gotta cover some nasty.

The forks seem to be out of alignment. Not bad. just annoying. like a
steering wheel on crooked.

The most worrisome is that the clutch slips. I pray it is just some gear
oil
on the plate from when I pressurised the gearbox to get the clutch
plunger

out. But I worry that it is a bad main seal.

Still it is an awesome ride.
