I'm not sure how much weight was taken off the flywheel, I plan on
weighing
 it when I swap it over to the 750 motor. The lighter flywheel helps the
motor
 spin quicker, thus helps with acceleration (Walt's flywheel is lightened
as
 well). One noticeable drawback to the lighter flywheel is that without the
mass of a heavy flywheel, engine braking is much more pronounced. I have
to
 be really on top of my downshifting as I have gotten the bike seriously
sideway trying to slow down for turns.
