I had that problem with mine, I took a 10" carriage bolt found a piece of
rubber hose a little smaller then the inside of the fork tube, put the rubber
onto the car. bolt a washer and nut . With the tube off the bike insert the
rubber in to the fork and tighen down the nut ( the same idea with the bar
end mirrors ) then guide the tube up through the clamps, grab the carr. bolt
pull it up, tighten the lower clamp to hold. If there is any rust or corrsion
on the upper tubes clean it off first. Good luck, Dale
