John,
According to my circuit diagram, there should be a green wire and a
brown wire connected to the neutral switch on the transmission. The
green wire connects to the neutral indicator lamp on the dash, and the
brown wire connects to one side of the starter relay. All you need to do
to disable the start on neutral feature is to disconnect the brown wire
from the neutral switch and connect it to ground (the neutral indicator
on the dash will still work). On my bike, I connected the brown wire to
a switch on the dash which connects to ground or to the green wire from
the neutral indicator. When connected to the green wire, the bike will
only start in neutral, and when connected to ground, the bike can start
in gear. That way, if I stall in traffic, I can flip the switch, pull in
the clutch, and start without having to embarass myself while I fidget
for neutral.

I remember and I'm too lazy to try to rethink it. Could you please
repost it, and does the neutral light still work normally with the fix?
Thanks,
