Although I don't know for sure, logic leads me to agree with Joe.

In the end, though, it wouldn't seem to make much difference to me as I
don't think there is enough pressure in the push rod shaft to push the
large O/D portion of the cone against the walls.

If someone knows differently, please let me know.
