First, thanks to John, Charlie, Kevin & Karl and anyone else I missed for
their mirror suggestions. I really appreciate it. The ones you had on your
Laverda are very similar to the height and size I'm looking for, except I'd
prefer them to be threaded if I could get them that way. Any idea where you
got them? Also, I like the ones Karl suggested that are for the Triumphs.
I'm hoping that $69.95 price is for a set though, not each. I'm also going
to check out those BMW mirrors Kevin suggested, as BMW always has tasteful
stuff. Maybe I can find something like these mirrors in the Dennis Kirk
catalog as well. That's where I got my Mickey Mouse ears mirrors that I'm
using in the first place, though, so maybe I ain't so good at selection from
a catalog. ;-) Maybe I'll just show up at the next rally with a wrench and
"borrow" a set of the ones I like best!

Finally, John, I had previously thought about trying to modify the Mickey
Mouse mirrors by bending them as you suggested, but since the shafts are
chrome, I feared that the chrome would most certainly crack if I tried to
bend them, doncha think?
Dennis

Just another thought, but you could take a set of those long Mickey
Mouse mirrors, get a 10mm die if you don't already have one, cut to
length, thread the end long enough to screw into your mounts with a jam
nut and bend them where you want them. You'd want to make the bends off
the bike, just to be clear on this.

By the way, I've got 10mm mirror mounts on my bars, so
I'd prefer to have screw-on mirrors.
Thanks!
D.J.
