hi-
anybody have a snuffbox [working]

So that is what they call it.

actually, i can't see how it ever worked in the first place.[???????]

Total lack of proper engineering. They are a piece of junk, in my
opinion. Mine started to short out and melt the hi/lo beam rocker
switch. So, I disconnected mine and made up a wiring harness with an
on/off/on 35amp rocker switch and mounted it under the seatpan behind my
left knee. Also threw in some spade connectors so I could take off the
seatpan. Then connected the harness to the original plug-ins with bullet
connectors. You can't even tell that it is there. Only the horn works on
my box. It's now just decoration along with the choke lever. I put new
flip-up choke levers on my VHB's.

Ping me off-list and I'll give you details, if you want to go in that
direction. I just didn't want to be flying down a country road one night
and my headlight poop out on me.

Also put in a halogen light in mine. A friend was ahead of me and said
that it was like a "mini sun", and I only had it on low...
