The flat copper strap that connects the brush holders is what my
question is about.
Has anybody ever soldered this back together?
Mine touched a third brush holder that it crosses over and burned in
two. Better this type of failure in the garage before the trip starts
than on the road.
I've soldered it together and will take these tools along on my trip
tomorrow. I'll keep y'all posted. I might consider delaying a day if I
knew I could get the parts but sometimes you have to find the edge by
stepping over it. ;-)
