Finally installed motor/trans/swing arm in the frame yesterday. Sure
smells like progress! I put one new pic up.

Lesson learned: a few weeks ago I installed the rebuilt u-joint (John
Chicoine) in the carrier bearing already installed in the swing arm. I
was sloppy. The joint didn't fully seat. When I first attempted swing
arm install yesterday the mount holes in the frame wouldn't line up.
After a cold brew and some head-scratching I removed the u-joint and
measured it against some others. Yep, same overall length. Then I looked
at the end that was installed in the carrier and noticed the marks
showed it wasn't fully seated. So a few measurements with the calipers
and a plan for identifying proper seating were devised. Joint in the
freezer, heat gun on the bearing. Some dead blow hammer whacks later,
using an old messed up driveshaft as a tool, and down it went. Easy
install after that. Hope to have a rolling chassis this weekend.
