Thanks Hunter but that is not the case. I had replaced the hoses and
the breather box a while back due to the internals of the breather falling
apart and some ending up in the pan. I have kept an eye on it and it is
fine. And so is the weep from the base and head gaskets that were fixed with
new gaskets and real 'dealer supplied' o-rings ;-) that I did a few months
back. I just hope I don't foul the clutch too badly before I get a chance to
get in there. The PO had replaced the clutch about 10,000 miles ago but I
bet did have the seal changed while in there (I have the receipt and no
mention of seal on it).

Don't overlook that an oil leak from the breather box hoses will run
into
the clutch housing. Might save you a headache or two!
