Sounds to me like you guys are just having way too much fun on your loops!
:)
I've not scraped anything since I put my footpegs back on (I'm not a very
aggressive rider), but when I bought my eldo, I noticed the floorboards,
header pipes, and mufflers were all scraped up on the bottoms. The PO
informed me that he'd ran from the cops on the ol' eldo many a night...even
left a cop camaro behind. I didn't believe him until I met a cop that had
chased him once asking me about where I got the bike and was I the one
riding it way back when. Guess these bikes handle a lot better than they
look like they would. Doubt I'll find out, cos I don't run fro the law and
I take it easy around curves...don't give me too long a straightway tho!

You can gain a bit more ground clearance if you hang off the bike
more...just like them racers do.

Been reading my David Hough books recently....

You are not alone, I cant ride my Ambassador with the centerstand in
place
as it drags way to easily. Without the centerstand, the left side drags
the
sidestand & on the right the exhaust touches down.
