I tried K &N filters on my big bore eldo.No noticeable improvement on the seat of pants dyno. They look like crap compared to the clean lines of the stock airbox.I will agree, its not the best arrangement at the box/boot interface, but lets not forget that this seal is under negative pressure,it seals itself like a flap.Sure, the sensory feedback is as rewarding as that of a young girl moaning in delight at ones actions, but i think the box belongs on the bike.25 years years ago i was riding a h1 triple. These had an awesome induction noise, plus they would carry the front end in two gears.Oh well, just rambling.Always enjoy reading the daily posts.I am smug knowing my bikes are darn near as perfect as i see fit, enjoy reading of other peoples enjoyable struggles to get there too. Thanks Scott K Hillsboro,NH
