Hi Ray,
As far as I can tell, the stock Guzzi floorboards' shaft isn't supported
at all by the transmission housing, but pivots entirely in a bushed,
tubular support on the back end of the left floorboard rail. On Plate
11, #33/2 are the bushings and in between them is the tubular support
they (and the shaft) fit into. Cheers,

Hi,
Ok, so here's another question. I am planning to use stock floorboards
on my 73 Eldo. After Jeff's dilemma came up and I checked the
appropriate parts on my bike, I noticed that the end of the shaft he was

concerned about (the one that goes into the left rear hole of the tranny

and sticks out to the left footpeg) does not line up with any of the
support holes in the floorboard rail. This shaft is listed in the parts
book in Plate 9, #13, part #1325 1165. However, in the police addendum
it is in Table 9, #30, part #1325 1240. Obviously two different parts.

In order to use the stock floorboards do I need to find the police
version of the shaft and if so, where does the far left end of this
shaft go? Does anyone have one for sale or trade (thinking ahead)?
Thanks
Ray
