Hey Dennis,

Just get it down to the two through bolts. Then you can either remove the
transmission first and then the engine or both together. I prefer the two
piece method. Either way get some help to lift the engine out.

============================================================The ole Eldo
is in need of having the motor freshened. I'm accustomed to taking motors
out of Tonti frame bikes, but not loopframes. Can someone give me a quick
explanation? I don't need the details of detachment of all the usual
stuff....drive shaft, swingarm, carbs, wiring harness, etc. What I am
interested in knowing is just how you get the motor out of the frame. Do
you lay it down with the motor in the frame, then take the engine mounting
bolts off and take the frame off of the motor? Should the valve covers or
heads or cylinders come off first, or can the motor clear? Any advice
would be appreciated.
