Hi Guys,thanks for your responses regarding oil.I knew I would get
different opinions and preferences.I have been using 20/50 Spectro
Motorcycle oil.I have a repop owners manual that talks about a Shell oil
and says the bike holds 3 1/4 quarts.If I put 3 quarts in the bike it
brings the level up to the top mark.Iam only giving the dip stck one
turn to check the level.I think I wil try 2.5 quarts.That brings the
level half way on the stick.
I have been experiencing an oil loss problem when the bike is driven
over 65mph in hot weather.As long as I keep it at 60mph there is no
problem.I wonder if using 3 quarts is too much with the problem Iam
having.It is possible that I have a cylinder problem.Iam looking into
doing a leak down test to see what that tells me.I know the top of the
engine will need to come off for a look at the internals.
