For the front main bearing I use new thick wave washers (this is what Guzzi now uses) and apply ThreeBond 1104 (or similar) to the threads. The ThreeBond product acts as a thread retaining compound without any risk of damaging the alluminum threads when removed later.

I fit the base plate for the bow-type timing chain tensioner. This one clearly manufactured by Stucchi Luigi.
