Kevin,
I like fat tires on a Loop to go along with the fat sheet metal. I think it
looks cool. But are fat tires OK, that is are they stock? And, do they
allow the bike to handle well on the road? Just wondering as I am reading a
lot of opinions on the list tonight and I don't know lots about tires but I
know the look I want.
Thanks, Bob Hawkes

Jim,

I'll throw my 2cents in here. On my 71 I run Avon Roadrunners. 110/90 on
the
front, 120/90 on the rear. The 120 is a little tight getting past
everything(easier w/the rr fender off). The 110 on the rr always looked
puny
to me. I never liked Avon's until a good friend that works for a Harley
dealer swore by them. They are alittle pricey, about $100 for the front
and
$120 for the rr, but he got me a great deal on 'em. The tires have been on
the bike for about 3-4 years(with on season of sitting for a resto) and
have
 held up just great.
I ran a rr Cheng-shin on a Yamaha in AZ. It seemed to wear really fast,
but
I guess for the price you can't beat 'em, just my experience with 'em. I
just wish I could find a white wall with Avon.

Later,
Kev

I'm getting my old '67 V7 going again and now it's time to look into
tires... It's got 4.00x18's on it and I'm sure the technology and the
players in the marketplace have change in the 15 years since I last bought
Motorcycle tires... Any suggestions as to make/model/size to get? Also
are
there any good online places to get them?

Thanks... Jim
