My '73 Eldo has Bridgestone S11 spitfires. They are dual compound and
for the past year have handled well in all conditions. Street, highway,
wet, or dry. When these go I'm getting another set.

My eldo needs a new set of skins and I am doing some research as to
which
brand are you guys happy with on your loops. I have used conti's but
the
side walls always seem to crack up before the treads wear out. A friend
of
mine who was a VW - Porsche dealer in the 70's in California told me
they
had the same problem with the stock Contis on the cars. They would get
about 12 months out of them before they start to crack. Maybe it has
something to do with the hot weather. I currently have some Dunlop
K70's on
my eldo and don't care for them. The seem to ride hard and are already
wearing out. So what are you guys running ?
