Gunnar, sorry to hear about your cylinders. Maybe there is a cheaper
way to solve your problem. I am not really sure what your tech capacity
is, but I have solved this problem on locked up assemblies by creating a
puller out of another piston pin, a long bolt and a short piece of pipe.
Can you picture this? It's a bit hard to explain. I know there was a
guy in Ohio that replaced his upper end with chevrolet pistons and
sleeves out of a cadillac of some sort. I think in the final analysis
he spent just as much as getting a new set. He also reversed the heads
and cam. It kept setting his pant legs on fire due to no heat
dissapation off the exhaust. If your chrome is all messed up, you will
most likely want to remove the sump pan and get all of that crap out of
there anyway. good luck.
